Motorcycle accident in Texas kills two

When one talks of motorcycle accidents, one of the most common causes of them is when a motorist fails to yield to the motorcyclist. This means that when a driver is making a left-hand turn at an intersection, he probably did not see the motorcyclist and did not accommodate them. This is one very common cause of crashes between motorists and motorcyclists and the result is often deadly -- motorcycles offer very little, if any, protection in the event of a crash.

This is what investigators say may have been the reason behind a tragic motorcycle accident in Texas recently. According to reports, a truck was traveling east on the street and approaching an intersection where the motorcycle was traveling north. According to reports, the 48-year-old truck driver did not yield the right of way and entered in the intersection, striking the motorcyclist. The accident left the two motorcyclists dead -- one was 43-years-old and the other 36-years-old.

As mentioned previously, any accident is devastating if it involves a motorcycle, but when the other vehicle is a truck then the sheer size disparity between the two modes of transportation often leaves no survivors in a crash.

When someone loses a loved one or is injured in a motorcycle accident, they may feel frustrated at the sudden change in their life. It may be possible to hold the other party accountable for their reckless behavior. An accident brings with it additional expenses that one cannot cover -- medical expenses, therapy, loss of wages -- and compensation can be gleaned from the other party through a personal injury lawsuit to cover them.
